With a score of 87 points (September 2002) under the North American evaluation system, Sonny is the highest scored stallion in the NFHR Studbook. Sonny was the recipient of a Yellow Gold Medallion of quality in 2002 and a Blue Gold Medallion in 2003. This makes him the first stallion in North America with a Blue Gold Medallion.
